Food establishments in Greene County are inspected one to three times per year, depending on the type of food served, the population served, the difficulty level of food preparation, and past history.

Issues found during inspections fall into two categories: priority and non-priority. Priority violations are issues that can have a direct impact on the safety of the food and can lead to a restaurant getting shut down if they persist. Non-priority violations are usually centered on things like sanitation or building maintenance.

Andy's Frozen Custard Inc., 3147 E. Sunshine St. 04/25/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Permitted with Reinspection. Priority Violations Found: 1. Observed: Chocolate custard mix held at 46F in hopper. Required: Potentially hazardous foods must be held at 41F or below. Time as a control will be used until repairs are made to unit. Custard mix discarded within two hours. Reinspection required. Nonpriority Violations Found: 0. 

Arris' Pizza, 1332 E. Republic St. 04/22/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Active. Priority Violations Found: 0. Nonpriority Violations Found: 0. 

Arris' Pizza, Republic. 04/26/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Active. Priority Violations Found: 2. Observed:  Spray can of furniture polish found leaning on aluminum pans over the lids.  Corrected at time of inspection. Observed:  Raw hamburger patties stored over cooked meats in walk-in cooler. Nonpriority Violations Found: 2. Observed:  Several non-food contact surfaces through out not clean. Observed:  Pizza boxes stored on floor.

Braum's Ice Cream #275, 4125 S. National Ave. 04/22/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Active. No violations observed. Priority Violations Found: 0. Nonpriority Violations Found: 0.

Centerfold Bar, Grill, Cabaret, 2800 W. Sunshine St. 04/25/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Permitted with Reinspection. Priority Violations Found: 2. Observed creamer and whip cream in bar cooler at 43-44F. Items moved to alternate cooler in kitchen. Observed potatoes in walk-in cooler with plastic over top, cooled from previous day at 43F. Potatoes voluntarily discarded. Discussed method - slice potatoes and place on one layer and use two sheet pans, cool on top shelf of walk-in cooler without cover so air circulates. Verify with thermometer that cooling temperatures are met. 135F to 70F within 2 hours, then 70F to 41F within 4 more hours. Nonpriority Violations Found: 2. Observed bar hand sink without soap. Corrected. Observed gap at the bottom of back kitchen door that may allow pests to enter.

Delicieux Bakery, 3757 N. State Highway H . 04/25/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Active. Priority Violations Found: 1. Observed: Can opener blade found not clean. Education given and corrected during the inspection. Nonpriority Violations Found: 4. Observed: Equipment and other items found not longer in use. Observed: Equipment and single use articles found stored directly on the floor in storage area. Observed: Employee drinks found without a lid and straw. Education given. Observed: Bottom of the back exterior door you can see daylight. 

Denny's, 4760 S. Campbell Ave. 04/22/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Permitted with Reinspection. Reinspection required to verify cold holding violation has been corrected. Priority Violations Found: 1. Observed the following cold holding violations: -In 1 Door prep cooler between grills-(top) cut tomato at 51F, ham at 52F, cooked onion and pepper mix at 54F (bottom) whole shell egg at 46F, and air at 45F. -In 1 Door prep cooler (server station)- Sour cream at 43F, whipped butter at 43F, and air at 43F. Person in charge said they will call for repairs. Foods had been in cooler about 45 minutes and were switched to time as a control. Discard at the end of 4 hours. Discussed time as a control, foods must be marked for discard time of no more than 4 hours from removal from temperature control. Foods on time as a control may not be saved or reused for any reason. Reinspection required. Nonpriority Violations Found: 0.

El Paraiso Mexican Kitchen, 305 E. Chestnut St., Strafford. 04/26/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Active. Priority Violations Found: 1. Observed a pan of refried beans temping at 90F after being in the cooling process for more than 2 hours. Required to cool PHFs from 135F to 70F within 2 hours. Education given and corrected on site by staff discarding the pan of refried beans. Nonpriority Violations Found: 1. Observed 4 pans of refried beans in deep pans for cooling. 1 pan was discarded due to cooling temperature violation. The other 3 pans of refried beans were still in compliance and portioned out into smaller containers to allow proper cooling. Education given and corrected on site.

Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, 2305 N. Glenstone Ave. 04/27/2022 - Routine Inspection; Result: Active. Priority Violations Found: 2. Observed: Can opener blade found not clean. Education given and corrected during the inspection. Observed: Vegetable slicers and choppers found stored not clean. Education given and corrected during the inspection. Nonpriority Violations Found: 6. Observed: Inside cabinets under soda machine for customer self service found not clean. Observed: Under equipment on cook line and kitchen area floor found not clean. Observed: Floor in back storage area found not clean. Observed: Back exterior door is not self closing and can see daylight along the bottom of the door. Observed: Mops found stored inside the mop sink. Observed: Soda dispenser nozzles found not clean. Education given.

The violations listed on last inspection have been corrected. Also complaint was investigated and nothing found to validate the complaint item. Observed: Some packages of deli meats were beyond use by dates or lacked dates completely. These were voluntarily discarded by staff.
