Settlement checks and rebates of up to $100 are in the mail from three class action settlements with Stanley Black & Decker, Kroger and Dominion National.

Top Class Actions readers have reported PayPal and Zelle rebates of $6.76 from a $850,000 class action settlement resolving false advertising claims.

The settlement benefits consumers who purchased one or more DEWALT, Porter Cable or Black & Decker brand organic bonded abrasive wheels between June 7, 2015, and Feb. 7, 2022.

According to a class action lawsuit, Stanley Black & Decker failed to inform customers its abrasive wheels expire. Consumers in the case say if they had been sufficiently informed about the abrasive wheels’ expiration dates, they would not have paid as much for the products.

Stanley Black & Decker agreed to resolve these claims with a $850,000 class action settlement.

Class members could claim up to four units without proof of purchase for a maximum payment of $10. With proof of purchase, class members could collect the full refund price of their purchases for a maximum payment of $50.

In order to receive settlement payments, class members had to submit a valid claim form by May 2, 2022.

The Stanley Black & Decker abrasive wheels class action lawsuit is Michael Dinges v. Stanley Black & Decker Inc. , Case No. 2116-CV12037, in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri.

Consumers are receiving checks worth around $30 from a Kroger data breach class action settlement.

The settlement benefits consumers who received a data breach notice from Kroger informing them that their information was compromised.

In December 2020, a third party gained access to Kroger pharmacy records, compromising names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, insurance information, medical history and other information belonging to customers and employees.

A class action lawsuit against Kroger accused the company of substandard cybersecurity measures that resulted in the data breach.

Kroger agreed to a class action settlement to resolve these claims. The settlement provides cash payments of up to $5,000 for documented losses resulting from the data breach.

Payments were estimated to be between $36 and $182 for California class members or $18 to $91 for other class members.

Claims must have been submitted by March 5, 2022, in order for the class member to receive settlement benefits.

The Kroger data breach class action lawsuit is Cochran, et al. v. The Kroger Co., et al. , Case No. 5:21-cv-01887-EJD, in the U.S. District for the Northern District of California.

Our readers report receiving payments of $100 from a $4.7 million data breach class action settlement.

The settlement benefits consumers whose personal information was stored on Dominion National’s network and may have been compromised in the multi-year data breach.

In June 2019, Dominion National announced it had discovered a data breach that could have begun as early as August 2010. During the nearly decade that the data breach occurred, consumer names, birthdates, email addresses, Social Security numbers and other sensitive data may have been compromised.

Affected consumers took legal action against Dominion National, arguing that the company’s insufficient cybersecurity resulted in the data breach and allowed it to continue for years.

Dominion didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $4.7 million to resolve the class action lawsuit. The settlement provides payments of up to $7,500 for documented data breach losses including $100 for five hours of lost time.

In order to receive settlement benefits, class members had to submit a valid claim form by Jan. 15, 2022.

The Dominion National data breach class action lawsuit is Abubaker, et al. v. Dominion Dental USA Inc., et al. , Case No. 1:19-cv-01050-LMB-MSN in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
