On Tuesday evening around 9.40 p.m. there was an argument on a train between a 30-year-old passenger and a train attendant after the 30-year-old had apparently refused to wear the prescribed mouth-nose mask. The unruly passenger then hit the 24-year-old railway employee, who then fled to the conductor's house and called the police.Officers from the police station picked up the 30-year-old at the Aalen train station. Both he and his companion were clearly drunk. The man was instructed accordingly;at the same time he was threatened with detention should further incidents occur. In fact, just after 10 p.m., another call came in.The 30-year-old stole an industrial vacuum cleaner from the cleaning staff at the station and threw it onto the tracks in front of an approaching train.A witness managed to get the vacuum cleaner off the tracks before the train reached the spot.Since disruptions on the part of the 30-year-old were still to be expected, he was taken into custody. He responded to the police action with insults to the officers deployed. The man is now being charged with bodily harm, insult and dangerous intervention in rail traffic.
